1: A Capella
Hey everyone,
Welcome to the first episode of *Sound Tasters*! I’m super excited (and honestly, a bit frustrated) to finally get this podcast up and running! My original vision for the show was to have full tracks playing between each segment, adding a full musical experience before and after my thoughts on each song. But some changes over at Spotify made that format impossible for now. I really dove into the licensing process with full enthusiasm, but it turns out that door is shut for now.
So, while I'm a little disappointed, I'm not going to let that stop me. Instead of endlessly tweaking, I’m going to share my unpolished commentary as it is. It might be a bit jarring without the music seamlessly breaking up each segment, but I still believe there’s something valuable in sharing these insights.
Here’s the silver lining: without being tied to Spotify exclusivity, I can now make the podcast available on all major platforms – Apple, Google, iHeart Radio, Stitcher, and more! So now, no matter where you prefer to listen, you can tune in.
In this first episode, I’m diving into one of my favorite genres: A Capella music. It’s a passion of mine, and honestly, it was the low-hanging fruit for the debut episode. I’ve pulled together a playlist of some great a cappella tracks for you to enjoy while I walk you through my thoughts on each. Check out the links below for the Apple Music and Spotify playlists.
Make sure to follow and subscribe to the podcast wherever you listen, and stay tuned for future episodes. Thanks for listening, and let’s dive into this first taste of a cappella!
